Guided By The Light

John Hooton FRPS FIPF MFIAP

I have always been captivated by the ever varying light and mood of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Exploring this region has offered me an insight into the way our landscape has transformed and evolved over centuries. I try to capture these changing lights and moods within my Irish landscape photography. No matter how many times I venture out across the Wild Atlantic Way, I'm always struck by the ability of the coastline to transform and reveal new elements of its personality.

Over time, I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to turn my hobby into a business. This change has in turn lead to expansion into other areas. Photography masterclasses, a holiday property rent and a series of books. I'm eternally thankful that get to do what I do, and connect with the Irish landscape through photography. I hope you enjoy browsing my work, and find inspiration, as I have, through the light of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Ollie Taylor is an international nightscape (landscape astrophotography), landscape, and travel photographer from the UK.

After practicing landscape photography since 2003, he got hooked on night photography during a month long Iceland trip at the end of 2010, slowly developing his technique, and in early 2014 Ollie quit his 9-5 and entered the realm of full time freelancing, setting up the first, structured landscape night sky (nightscape), and landscape astrophotography workshops of their kind in Europe; he continues to run them very successfully.  The workshops provide photographers with the opportunity to learn night sky photography techniques whilst located within a traditional rural or coastal landscape photography environment.  The 1-2-1 and group photography workshops operate across Scotland, the north and south west of England, and in North Wales, as well as across Europe, as far north as Northern Norway, and as far south as Greece and Cyprus.  Work is ongoing to take the tours to north and south America, alongside Africa.  Ollie also runs astrophotography workshops for external firms such as The Royal Photographic Society, The Royal Horticultural Society and astrophotography workshops in Cyprus for The 6×6 Centre for Photography,

I'm Tyler Collins.

I’m a photographer based in Derry, Northern Ireland.

I’ve been a photographer now for 7 years, well actually 9 but the 2 years of Covid don’t count! I’ve been extremely fortunate to travel to some amazing places around the world and to work on some truly epic photography projects. Not only that, but I also started up and now run my own photography tour company which sees me travelling around Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Norway and Italy.

If I had to describe my ideal photography project, it would be anything that incorporates nature and the great outdoors. Think staycations, unique accommodation up a tree or bubble domes in the middle of a forest to an outdoor equipment brand.

I love working on projects where I can also tell a story through a collection of photos, someone who works with their hands such as a woodturner or blacksmith, or the surgeon who’s also a goat farmer, or the traditional boat maker.

If I sound like your cup of tea, then please do get in touch.

Make it stand out.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
